About the Company:

A top asset manager with a significant global presence ($800B AUM) is looking for a professional with 8-15 years of public or private internal audit ideally with real estate experience but not required. Ideally, they want someone who is keen on learning the business. The ideal candidate has a well-rounded background with real assets including airports, telecom, mining and other tangible assets.


This role will report directly to the MD and is a succession position (i.e. this person will eventually take over the MD’s role). This position will primarily be auditing the US property, including various sectors of real estate, such as logistics facilities, office buildings, hotels, and residential communities.


Responsibilities:

· Identify, understand, and assess processes and internal controls.

· Understand regulatory requirements assist the business in maintaining processes and functions to help ensure compliance with such requirements.

· Supervise and execute non-audit requirements including advisory projects, strategic projects, fraud and conduct & ethics investigations.

· Build strong professional relationships with the global real estate management team by providing value-added service.

· Prepare presentations and other materials in support of IA’s reporting to management and the audit committee.

· Manage co-sourced service providers when engaged as subject matter specialists or supplemental resources.

· Support compliance with international internal auditing standards.
