JOB SUMMARY FOR MANUFACTURING ENGINEER:
- The Fastening Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing fastening solutions for automotive components. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting analysis, and ensuring the quality and reliability of fastening systems in vehicle assembly.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR MANUFACTURING ENGINEER:
- The position will be Hybrid.
- Mainly in the Dearborn area but will require work in our plants across North America. (travel required).
- Travel should be about 10-20%, depends on installation issues and program install timing.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR MANUFACTURING ENGINEER:
- 2 or more years experience in Manufacturing Engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR MANUFACTURING ENGINEER:
- Experience in fastening technologies, joining methods, materials, fastener design, testing, and implementation
- Knowledge of automotive engineering principles and materials
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work on-site in Dearborn, MI
- Travel required - outside of SE Michigan
