Nissan's Accessory Quality team is seeking contract staff for a role to fulfill engineering needs related to growth of the business. New product launches will increase the accessory workload and is looking to supplement its Accessory quality department with engineering resources in order to meet these demands. The technical resources will act as an extension of Accessory Quality department and are to be based in Field Quality Center in Smyrna, TN.
The timeline for the project is to extend from and would be subject to renewal at that time. The Accessory Quality team is looking to supplement its team to handle the quality control of the Accessory commodities listed below:
Job Summary:
Job Summary
- Lead quality assessment and validation activities to support minor change or new model launch program milestones.
- Support model-based issue prioritization and cross-functional quality improvement activities.
- Work with cross-functional regional stakeholders to ensure Customer VOC is captured for minor change or full model change event adoption.
- Work with MFG & R&D program management teams to ensure that feedback is integrated into the project and that key quality kpi’s are achieved at each milestone phase of the project.
- Report quality results and action plans to executive management.
- Report top field quality concerns to responsible technical investigation departments for investigation and resolution.
- Communicate top concern resolution status to entire field product quality improvement management teams.
Analyze key market indicators to identify priority issues to be addressed.
Job Knowledge and Skills
- Must have an in depth understanding of automotive technology, product knowledge, product quality related information systems and related processes
- Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes and quality control processes
- Strong project management, data analysis, problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Years of Experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant professional level automotive experience
Education
- BSME or any engineering degree or technology
Travel Required
- Travel (up to 20%) for cross functional evaluations and audits within the USA (primarily in Canton, MS)

- This position will work on the Altima. This person will work with Product Planning, Design, Plant interface. Will work closely with Lead engineer for Altima and will have specific milestones they're responsible for.
