We are seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) to join our Energy team as a valuable member in Commercial Electric, Photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.


This role demands expertise in electrical infrastructure, SCADA, protective relaying, controls, and a deep understanding of national codes, including NEC and NESC.

  • Review electrical designs throughout project development, design, and construction phases, conduct advanced electrical modeling, and review equipment test reports and shop drawings.
  • Broader technical knowledge in Low Voltage, Arc Flash, Energy Conservation, Mechanical, and Fire Protection engineering is a plus.
  • Provide priorities of work, feedback on initiatives, and establish new focus areas to drive continuous improvement, supporting engineering teams.
  • Experience in PV and BESS projects is a plus.
  • Experience with Interconnection requirements and corresponding studies.
  • Strong understanding of national codes, including NEC and NESC.
  • Infrequent travel to project sites to gather/document existing conditions and execute construction phase punch outs.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineering team members.
  • Innovative thinking and a collaborative mindset


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of professional experience. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with power generation, plant design, environmental compliance and multi-discipline industrial projects.
  • Experience working on decarbonization design efforts through state-of-the-art technologies in renewable energy, carbon capture, and hydrogen power.
