The Facilities Engineer is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the Company’s building and equipment. This position ensures facility operations are cost-effective, time-efficient, and are performed safely. This position is required to be on-call for emergency response.


Essential Duties

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair work on building and equipment.
  • Maintain and operate HVAC systems, electrical equipment, production equipment, plumbing systems, and building management systems.
  • Review and monitor current processes and design new processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve operational problems.
  • Gather and analyze data, blueprints, and reports.
  • Schedule routine maintenance. Coordinate and supervise maintenance contractors.
  • Troubleshoot issues with plant utility systems.
  • Prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) and reports.
  • Ensure Company compliance with federal, state and local regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
  • Ensure proper employee conduct and employee requirements (i.e., adherence to safety standards, proper licensing is current as needed, comprehensive training, adherence to customer service and sales goals, etc.).
  • Promote effective communication.
  • Perform related duties as required or directed by the CEO.
  • Assist others as requested or assigned.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Maintain professional and courteous appearance and demeanor.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, manufacturing or facilities engineering or equivalent years of experience.
  • 1 year of previous facilities engineer experience, preferred.
  • Familiarity with facilities engineering practices and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and in a calm and pleasant manner.
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
  • Ability to read and write checklists, reports, and correspondence. Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, memos, etc.
