Description:

The GSS Map Ops team helps in building maps that are a near real-time reflection of the physical world. Whenever you see a map, get an ETA, see the route a driver or courier is taking, or get picked up at the right location in an client product, the Map operations team has a role to play.


As a US Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for testing both existing and new tools, leading pilot projects, and collaborating with the engineering and product teams to transition these projects into full production. We are seeking qualified individuals who can perform these tasks independently, with minimal direction, and who demonstrate a strong capacity for self-learning.


Details about the role:

Lead Pilot Projects: Drive the execution of pilot projects, collaborating closely with engineering and product teams to identify key insights and areas for improvement.

Test and Implement System Enhancements: Collaborate with the Product and Operations teams, particularly in India, to rigorously test and successfully roll out system improvements. Ensure seamless integration and effectiveness of these enhancements.

Develop and Standardize SOPs: Create comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to transition newly piloted projects into production. Ensure that these guidelines are clear, actionable, and scalable for broader implementation.

Identify Process Improvement Opportunities: Analyze both existing and new pilot processes to uncover patterns, inefficiencies, and opportunities for enhancement. Propose and implement strategic improvements to optimize operations.

Effective Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with peers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout project lifecycles.

Recommend Tool Enhancements: Provide actionable feedback and recommendations for tool improvements that will enhance process efficiency and effectiveness. Work closely with development teams to ensure these enhancements are implemented.

Troubleshoot and Resolve Tool Issues: Act as the first point of contact for production operations when tool issues arise. Diagnose, triage, and coordinate with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution of any technical challenges.

Conduct Analytical Reviews: Perform in-depth analyses to uncover insights that drive process improvements. Share findings and recommendations with relevant teams to inform decision-making.

Monitor and Report Progress: Provide regular updates through weekly reports, detailing progress, challenges, and successes in ongoing projects and initiatives. Ensure that stakeholders are informed and engaged in the process.


Details about the role:

Work on pilot projects and share insights with engineering and product teams

Need to test and rollout system improvements, by collaborating with product and Ops team in India

Need to create SOPs for the newly piloted projects to productionalise

Identify patterns and opportunity for improvement in the existing and new pilot processes

Communicate effectively with peers and stakeholders

Suggest improvements to tools for process improvement

Debug and triage the tool issues faced by production ops and get them resolved by following up with respective engineering teams

Work on various analysis and share insights for process improvements

Share weekly reports on the work progress


Requirements:

You are a graduate in any discipline

You have experience in leading a team

You are familiar with Google Docs suite (G-sheet and G-docs)
