Bilingual Human Resources Generalist

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a Bilingual Human Resources Generalist to join their team in Schaumburg, IL. This position supports a distribution center with HR administration, employee relations, on-boarding and off-boarding employees, and new hire orientation. Must have bilingual fluency in Spanish to support the Spanish speaking employee population. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining a strong HR foundation that ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, while also promoting employee well-being and engagement. Key Responsibilities:

HR Administration/HR Operations:

  • Manage new hire onboarding, including I-9 verification, drug screens, background checks, and certification documentation.
  • On-boarding new hires.
  • Maintain employee documentation and records.
  • Benefits and FMLA administration.
  • Process unemployment claims.


Employee Relations:

  • Handle employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Participate in conflict resolution and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Actively participate in employee engagement activities and initiatives. Champion a positive workplace culture through events, programs, and initiatives.


Data Management:

  • Utilize HRIS for HR data management.
  • Utilize Kronos for timekeeping and attendance tracking.


Bilingual Skills:

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish to effectively communicate with the diverse workforce.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of HR Administration, HR Coordinator, or HR Generalist experience.
  • Prior manufacturing or distribution industry experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish (read, write, and speak).
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Familiarity with an HRIS and Kronos.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.
