Texas Innovates, a regional non-profit, seeks a dynamic Operations Director to spearhead the CHILI “Carbon & Hydrogen Innovation and Learning Incubator,” in a virtual role (although Houston Region candidates are preferred).
CHILI is a cutting-edge initiative designed to foster innovation and growth within the energy sector, focusing on hydrogen technologies.
This pivotal role demands a candidate with a robust skill set, finely tuned to incubator or accelerator management, and a deep understanding of the energy landscape, particularly hydrogen as a sustainable energy source.
The Operations Director will be at the forefront of Texas Innovates' mission, driving the CHILI’s program curriculum, engaging with regional universities and managing corporate partnerships, and working closely with startups. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic vision and practical expertise, capable of navigating the complexities of the startup ecosystem and propelling ventures from ideation to fruition. A proven track record in incubator or accelerator environments is essential, showcasing the ability to cultivate a thriving community of innovators and entrepreneurs.
Subject matter expertise in energy is a cornerstone of this role, with a preference for professionals who have delved into the hydrogen domain. The candidate should demonstrate a history of engaging with energy transition topics projects.
