Who is Contango Resources?

The Specific Role Where You Can Make a Difference?

We see a bright future optimizing late-in-life assets to produce hydrocarbons for US energy needs, and YOU could be a part of our team helping create value. We are seeking an HSE Specialist who will primarily support our Lost Creek and Monell fields and will also contribute to advancing the HSE function across the organization. 

 

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities:

·        Drive a “safety first” culture, ensuring compliance with (and commitment to) all safety requirements.

·        Develop and lead safety programs and policies.

·        Provide safety training and awareness programs.

·        Lead monthly safety meetings.

·        Manage investigations and reports on incidents and accidents.

·        Maintain safety records and safety regulations.

 

Qualifications/Experience

·        Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices relevant to the oil and gas industry. (Midstream/gas plant experience strongly preferred.)

·        Demonstrated success advancing HSE initiatives through proper planning, prioritization, sound judgement, appropriate influence, and execution. 

·        Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (reports, email, policies, practices, etc.), with the ability to interface effectively with team members, management, and external stakeholders. 

·        High school diploma required; additional educational qualifications are advantageous.

·        Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

·        Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
