If you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference in a community first and company second environment, this is the ideal opportunity for you The User Experience Designer will work alongside Researchers, User Interface Designers, Content Strategists, and other key team members and will have the opportunity to help the organization improve clinical outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.


This User Experience Designer will be a member of the User-Centered Design Team and will be responsible for the design of end-user interactions for a range of our websites and applications. In this role, they will play a key part in defining the design direction, information architecture, and product standards to help create secure, consistent, branded, and intuitive user experiences for our client's patients, providers, and teammates. Responsibilities will include the following:


  • 50% of time - Serve as the primary resource with direction from Sr. User Experience Designers on projects – design, develop, and support various applications in the IT and Clinical spaces.

Create wireframes and prototypes

  • 5% of time - Work on Visual Designs
  • 5% of time - Create journey maps, sitemaps, heuristic reviews, personas, and experience maps
  • 5% of time - Work closely with researchers to prepare interactive prototypes for usability testing
  • 5% of time - Participate in design reviews to maintain consistency across multiple applications and guarantee adherence to requirements and standards
  • 5% of time - Work with the QA for defect resolution
  • 5% of time - Work with Development teams to implement designs
  • 5% of time - Work with Architecture
  • 5% of time - Work with the Team Leads and/or Project Managers for planning, estimation, documentation, and status reporting
  • 10% of time - Partner closely with Product Owner(s) and diverse stakeholders to understand requirements and reflect those in wireframes & prototypes resulting in Product Owner approval

Note - May perform other duties as assigned


Required Skills and Expertise:

  • 2 to 4 years of User Experience Design experience
  • Must have a portfolio demonstrating prior experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level in UX technologies and methodologies
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Extremely familiar with design industry standards and best practices
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level in macOS, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, prototyping tools (i.e. InVision, Axure, etc.) and willing to learn new applications when necessary
  • Basic knowledge of modern front-end technologies and how it will be used to enhance a user interface; for web-related projects
  • Minimum 2 years of experience converting a flat design into a coded HTML documents without the use of a WYSIWIG editor
  • Must be able to assist in identifying and troubleshooting cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility issues
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think logically
  • Experience working with Agile/SCRUM teams
