We are seeking an Architectural/Engineering/Construction professional with a passion for Construction Administration. Using your Construction Administration expertise, you will be an integral part of the project team ensuring that the design intent of assigned projects is followed; you will serve as the liaison between the Architect/Engineer team(s) and Owner/Contractors/Construction Manager. The role involves a high level of collaboration among many disciplines in our employee-owned Firm.


We are seeking a Construction Administrator for our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania location. Local travel required to tri-state area clients.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide design and construction coordination
  • Conduct regular constructability reviews, project updates and coordination, value engineering, shop drawing reviews, ASI's, RFI’s and change order tracking
  • Conduct cost estimating on assigned projects
  • Manage A/E schedule and milestone dates
  • Conduct QA/QC reviews
  • Travel to project or company office as required to facilitate construction; visit job sites as required to review progress and facilitate construction by coordinating RFI’s, ASI’s and other information requests, payment applications and contractor requests. Coordinate with field and in-house Project Manager/Team regarding drawing progress, reports, RFI’s, ASI’s, owner concerns, schedule, and concerns of field team
  • During design process, review drawings, as a QA/QC check, for coordination or review of specifications
  • Other duties as assigned.


 Education, Experience, Skill sets:


  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering from an accredited university/college required or requisite experience.
  • At least 3 years on-site field experience overseeing projects under construction as an Architect/Construction Administrator or Construction Project Manager.
  • Possess working knowledge of the construction industry and how buildings are put together
  • Familiarity with AIA documents
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of contract administration
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project preferred
  • Ability to read drawings of all disciplines
