Position Summary: We are seeking a Mechanical Superintendent with a robust background in HVAC construction to oversee and manage project execution effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams to establish work methodologies.
- Oversee the entire construction process to guarantee adherence to design specifications, budget constraints, and timelines, while collaborating with client representatives and subcontractors.
- Organize, direct, and supervise on-site operations, providing leadership to administrative personnel.
- Authorize and validate all personnel-related transactions, including purchase orders and design modification requests.
- Support Project Management in the formulation and execution of project protocols, documentation, and standards.
- Ensure compliance with project protocols, safety regulations, and operational guidelines among all on-site staff, documenting infractions and advising management on necessary corrective measures.
- Take charge of the productivity of trades, optimizing the use of materials, equipment, and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
- Execute additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Project Manager.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of supervisory experience in HVAC construction.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or a comparable combination of technical training and experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction technologies, methods, and cost management, particularly in hotel projects.
- Proven track record in team leadership, adherence to processes, commitment to excellence, and effective risk management.
- Ability to think strategically, develop and manage plans, and cultivate strong professional relationships.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and relevant OSHA regulations.
