Primary Duties:

  • Oversee day-to-day operational management and production support of Oracle EBS environments.
  • Conduct backups, ensure data security during migrations, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams and vendors, including direct Oracle support.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical business applications.

  • Manage Development, Test, and Production environments on Oracle applications.
  • Perform cloning, patching, and code migrations to meet business needs.
  • Maintain detailed documentation on database systems, configurations, processes, and standards.
  • Support business-critical applications with best practices in backup and recovery.
  • Collaborate with IT application teams to align database solutions with business requirements.
  • Ensure data integrity and security through access control and regular reviews.


Key Skills and Technologies:

  • Database Management: Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), Oracle RAC, MySQL.
  • Tools: RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), APEX, SOA, OBIEE.
  • Scripting: Shell scripting for automation.
  • Operating Systems: Linux (Red Hat, Oracle Linux), Unix.
  • Technologies: Data Guard, Oracle SR, Oracle 12c, 19c.


Required Skills:

  • Experience in Oracle EBS production support, including performance enhancements, patching, cloning, replication, environment refreshes, package migrations, SQL query optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, APEX, SOA, OBIEE, and OEM.
  • Expertise in tuning complex SQL queries and automating tasks using Shell scripting.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum five years' experience as an Oracle Applications DBA.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite, including R12 cloning and patching.
  • Proficiency in RMAN, Data Guard, OEM, APEX, SOA, and OBIEE.
  • Strong Shell scripting skills; proficient in Linux and Unix.
  • Experience supporting Oracle RAC environments.
  • Ability to manage and resolve Oracle SRs; MySQL knowledge is a plus.
