Job Summary:


As Senior Manager of the Truckload Department at TCC, you will spearhead and manage a team of truckload representatives, both locally and internationally. Your role is pivotal in strategic planning, cultivating carrier relationships, overseeing operations, and propelling departmental success in our dynamic and fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the truckload department, including local and overseas teams.
  2. Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance departmental performance and service delivery.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts in the trucking industry, including owner-operators, dispatchers, and drivers.
  4. Negotiate and manage transportation rates, issue rate confirmations, and oversee freight dispatching.
  5. Implement track and trace operations for timely pickups and deliveries.
  6. Work closely with sales teams to support cost, transit, and availability queries.
  7. Maintain accurate data in the company’s software system and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  8. Provide leadership, training, and support to the truckload team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  9. Adapt to changing market conditions, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency.
  10. Achieve departmental objectives while aligning with the company’s strategic goals.


Requirements:


  1. Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams, both locally and internationally.
  2. Bachelor's Degree preferred; extensive experience in customer relationship management, account management, operations, or business development within the logistics industry.
  3. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and leading a diverse team.
  4. Expertise in problem-solving, multitasking, time management, and organizational skills.
  5. Proficient in typing and data management, with a strong grasp of Excel.
  6. Proactive, results-driven approach with the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  7. Previous experience in transportation or logistics is highly desirable.
