OVERVIEW

The Marketing Account Executive at Merritt Group will support the agency’s marketing clients as we plan, build, and execute marketing campaigns. They will support processes and deliverables that bring our clients’ campaigns to market and advance their business goals. They will serve as a member of marketing client teams at the agency, supporting the teams, as well as key components of the marketing programs, providing marketing campaign execution, research, content support, project management, and administrative support. And, like all Merritt Groupers, they have an insatiable curiosity and interest in technology and business, marketing, digital, content, advertising/paid media, web, social media, and more.


KEY FUNCTIONS

  • Marketing Campaign Execution: Help execute marketing campaigns on behalf of clients - ranging from content, digital, advertising/paid media, social media and more - ensuring they align to the client’s broader demand generation/sales goals.
  • Content Coordination/Support: Support content creation efforts.
  • Marketing Research: Support market research efforts to inform strategic direction.
  • Project Management: Support PM activities with reporting, tracking and measurement. Own components of project management for tasks/duties they are responsible for.
  • Deliver Tangible Results: Has both a strong desire and the ability to chase big-picture campaigns that are thoughtful and positive for the company. Ensure that projects align to client goals.
  • Agency Operations: Volunteer for projects as time warrants; research and bring new ideas to the team’s attention; and complete and submit accurate timesheets and monthly reports on time.


KEY SOFT SKILLS

  • Client-Focused: Take the time to learn each client’s business and competitive landscape. Begin to participate in client meetings. Is execution-oriented and meets or exceeds all deadlines.
  • Proactive, Action-Oriented: Bring ideas and be a proactive contributor to the team. Begin to learn how to not only identify problems, but also work proactively to find solutions.
  • Team Player: Provide support for every aspect of designated accounts and work closely with teammates to deliver exceptional results. Work well in a collaborative team environment.
  • Communicate with Candor: Open to new ideas and change, and committed to being direct and tactful in all communication with colleagues and teammates. Receive feedback positively and implement immediately. Keep lines of communication open regarding all projects in-flight (proactively report out on current projects without being asked about status)


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-4 years of working experience, including internships
  • Proficiency with Mac platform
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Prior marketing agency experience and/or internship
  • Degree in marketing, communications, or related field
