Laurel, NJ; Columbia, MD; McLean, VA; or Albany, NY.If you're ready to make a meaningful impact, grow your career, and join a team where your expertise truly matters, Colliers Engineering & Design is ready to welcome you.ResponsibilitiesPlay a key role in the month-end and year-end close processes.Own GL maintenance, account reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.Partner with Finance and other departments to ensure financial tell the full story by addressing and resolving accounting-related inquiries.Supervise a team of accountants - coach, support, and develop their growth.Analyze expense accounts, proactively identifying trends, discrepancies, and areas for cost optimization.Identify ways to automate, optimize, and improve financial operations.Coordinate with auditors and internal staff during financial statement and overhead audits.Support acquisition due diligence, data consolidation and integration activities, as needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance (CPA preferred).Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within organizations generating $100 million or more in annual revenue required.At least 2 years of remote leadership and people management experience required.BST or Deltek experience preferred.Solid understanding of US GAAP and sound internal controls.Tech-savvy-strong with Excel, ERP systems, BI analytics, workflow automation.Prior experience in the A/E/C industry preferred.FAR/CAS accounting experience preferred.Strong communication skills with the ability to explain accounting concepts to non-accountants.Demonstrated ability to lead with integrity, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.Compensation: $91,000 to $138,000 per year (depending on qualifications)What We OfferAt Colliers Engineering & Design, our people are our most important resource.
