Project Manager – Commercial General Contractor (Houston, TX)Full-Time | Competitive Salary + Benefits | Career Growth OpportunityOur client, a well-established Commercial General Contractor headquartered in Houston, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead ground-up and interior build-out projects across the Greater Houston area. This is a strong opportunity for a driven construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in delivering high-quality commercial projects.About the CompanyOur client is known for its collaborative culture, integrity in delivery, and long-standing relationships across retail, office, industrial, healthcare, and mixed-use sectors. They are growing quickly and need a Project Manager who can take ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout.What You’ll DoOversee all phases of commercial construction projects from planning to completion.Manage project budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance.Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to ensure alignment on goals and expectations.Lead project meetings, track progress, and proactively resolve issues to maintain workflow.Prepare and review RFI’s, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.Ensure safety standards and company quality expectations are met on every project.Mentor and support project engineers and field staff as needed.What We’re Looking For5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor.Proven experience managing ground-up, TI, or site development projects.Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and industry best practices.Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.Proficiency in construction management software (Procore preferred).Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).Why Join This Team?Stable, well-respected GC with a strong pipeline of work.Supportive leadership team and a people-centric culture.Competitive compensation package, bonus potential, vehicle allowance, and full benefits.Opportunity to grow into Senior PM or Operations roles.
