The Select Group’s largest client in Chicago is looking for an experienced Project Manager to assist with airframe hardware installation projects in Chicago. This candidate needs to have experience managing projects, FAA standards and regulations, aircraft hardware installation, and process improvement. If the below sounds like you, please apply


AVIATION TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER/PROCESS ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in project management, process improvement, and standards implementation in the aviation space
  • Familiarity with legal and FAA standards in aviation is essential - specifically the process behind obtaining certifications for physical hardware deployments
  • Experience overseeing engineering teams performing hardware installations on aircrafts (TechOps) and strong understanding of that process from scheduling through execution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
  • Should have started their career as an aviation engineer, and worked their way up through management


AVIATION TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER/PROCESS ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with TechOps team to support the maintenance portfolio and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Utilize engineering expertise to assess and address technical challenges within maintenance operations.
  • Lead and participate in project management activities related to maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the maintenance workflow and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and FAA standards in aviation, staying abreast of regulatory changes and incorporating them into operational practices.
  • Provide support for Digital Technology initiatives onboard, integrating technology solutions into maintenance operations to optimize performance.
