Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clear and effective supervision to Line Service personnel during the assigned shift.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout all shift operations.
- Maintain high standards of safety and customer service.
- Embody the principles of the "Atlantic Attitude" and ensure team adherence.
- Perform duties as a Line Service Technician when necessary.
- Communicate work progress and significant issues to the Line Manager or Operations Manager.
- Relay Atlantic standards and relevant information to Line Service employees on shift.
Essential Duties
- Manage staffing levels and delegate work assignments effectively.
- Enforce company policies and procedures in the absence of a Line Service Manager.
- Provide constructive feedback to employees regarding performance expectations.
- Monitor daily aircraft arrivals and departures to ensure timely service.
- Engage with customers to confirm all service requirements are met.
- Address customer service issues and escalate as necessary.
- Inspect the facility for cleanliness and operational efficiency.
- Maintain proper fuel inventory levels.
- Adhere to recognized quality control standards.
- Ensure fueling equipment and courtesy vehicles are well-maintained.
- Oversee daily quality assurance and accuracy of documentation.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
Experience in aviation ground handling services is highly desirable. Atlantic Aviation offers a comprehensive training program to equip employees with the skills necessary to excel in safety and customer service. Candidates must be prepared to work in various weather conditions and possess flexibility in scheduling, as operations run 24/7. Minimum requirements include:
- High school diploma.
- One year of line service experience.
- Valid state driver's license meeting company insurability standards.
- At least 18 years of age.
- NATA Certification.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated organizational and leadership abilities.
- Basic math proficiency with minimal errors.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent customer relations skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Working Environment
The work environment is dynamic and may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, varying weather conditions, and loud noise levels. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Physical Demands
Employees must be able to perform essential functions, which may include using hands for handling, reaching, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
