Structural Engineer


Kelly® Engineering is seeking a Structural Engineer for a direct hire position with a manufacturer of material anchoring systems located in Bolingbrook. If you are passionate about shaping the world we live in and are ready to reengineer your future, trust the experts at hiring experts.


Overview


This client produces bolting, anchoring, and cabling systems for infrastructure and building industry.

In this role you will prepare engineering calculations and installation drawings for post-tensioning and reinforcing applications for buildings, bridges, tanks, etc. This could be for repairs or strengthening projects.

  • Knowledge of carbon fiber reinforced polymer system is preferred.
  • Oversee and direct detailers in the preparation of shop drawings for assigned projects.
  • Participate in product development, testing, and certification projects.
  • Provide technical support to project managers and field operation teams.
  • Communicate with contractors and design engineering firms, as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • BS in Civil Engineering with Structural Engineering concentration required. Master degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of Engineering within the Construction Industry.
  • Knowledge of civil and structural engineering principals.
  • Knowledge of codes such as ACI, PTI PCI, AASHTO, AISC, etc. required.
  • Experience in post-tensioning and use of structural analysis and CAD software.
  • Must be self-motivated, disciplined, and professional.
  • Analytical and skilled in troubleshooting, identification of customer needs and challenges, market knowledge.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD or similar software.
  • PE license in any state, highly preferred or EIT with ability to obtain PE within a year.
