Role Overview:

This role is for a Business Analyst to support Commercial Banking and Loan Syndications. Manage the entire Syndications & Capital Markets project life cycle. Perform business related tasks and analysis associated with Professional Services projects. Professional Services is responsible for definition, design, construction, implementation, testing thru live and post live support. Defined disciplines within Professional Services include batch interfaces, data conversion, system implementation & configuration, and general ledger interfaces.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preliminary project analysis functions. This includes file analysis and client process/procedure analysis.
  • Gather and analyze client business requirements and assist in preparation of functional requirement documents. This may include data/field mapping, conversion strategy, and test script development.
  • Assist in validating and reconciling the data migration, based on the design specifications, utilizing Microsoft applications such as Excel and Access.
  • Assist in remediating development issues uncovered during testing and validation. This may include issue tracking management as well as collaboration with technical resources.
  • Monitor the progress of assigned projects and team members. Provide guidance when necessary.
  • Provide updates to project management as necessary and work with project management to resolve project issues.
  • Provide client testing support of defects and/or questions related to the project deliverable.
  • Provide on-going client production support. This may include identifying and analyzing production issues, testing fixes and testing client requested system modifications.
  • Perform testing related to the development of batch interfaces. This includes review of functional requirements and execution of test scripts.
  • Provide production support for batch interfaces. This may include analyze of production issues, testing maintenance fixes and testing new client enhancements.
  • Support in the configuration of System Administration for implementation.
  • Build and implement manual test case scenarios under direction of more senior staff.
  • Review requirements documents, prepare and execute manual test cases, reporting defects in tools used by AFS; Quality Assurance testing for deliveries.
  • Ability to work hours in excess of normal core working hours, including travel as required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Familiarity of business concepts associated with banking and lending practices
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a data analysis role, preferably with database systems
  • Previous banking and/or software vendor experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, MS Office skills with strong PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with JIRA or other development/issue tracking software
  • Possess excellent written/oral communication, time management, organizational, negotiation, documentation, and platform presentation skills.
  • A collaborative attitude with the ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with external clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to travel 10-15% based on client implementation project demand as required.

Employment Type

AFS utilizes a hybrid work environment with 2-3 days a week in office. Local candidates should be able to commute to Exton, PA. Remote for this position is a consideration so open to out of state candidates.
