Key Responsibilities:

As our Partnership and Fundraising Coordinator, you'll be planning, organizing, and executing fundraising activities and campaigns, ensuring our mission connects with potential donors. Your day-to-day tasks will include:


Corporate Partnership Management: Mecum Auctions.

  • Please be aware that this job requires 70% traveling around the country and 30% working in the Curing Kids Cancer office in Dallas. Candidates should be prepared for the travel commitments and flexible work arrangements associated with this job.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Developing and managing budgets for Mecum fundraising and travel. This includes tracking and ensuring Mecum travel and awareness expenses stay within budget. Assisting with Mecum travel booking and being fiscally responsible with a company-issued credit card.
  • Donor Management, Engagement, and Stewardship: Identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with potential and existing Mecum donors, sponsors, and supporters through phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings. This includes acknowledging donations and providing regular updates to donors about the organization's activities and impact through personalized communication, thank you letters, and recognition of contributions.
  • Database Management: Maintaining a database of Mecum donors, sponsors, and other supporters. This includes tracking donations and interactions to build strong relationships. Ensuring records are accurate and up-to-date in Little Green Light CRM.


Collaboration: Working closely with other staff in marketing, communications, and finance to align fundraising efforts with the organization's overall strategy.

  • Organize and supervise CKC merchandise inventory and placing orders.
  • Assisting with planning and executing awareness activities and fundraising events.
  • Attending local civic and nonprofit events to network and promote CKC.


Grant Portal Management: Coordinating, updating, and maintaining the Curing Kids Cancer Grants Database in ProposalCentral; serving as the main point of contact for all ProposalCentral and grants-related inquiries from hospitals and researchers before the annual proposal deadline.


Digital Fundraising tools: Creating Curing Kids Cancer website event pages and building GiveSmart event silent auction pages.


Hospital Visit Coordination: Planning and coordinating hospital visits to CKC’s grant-funded partners. This involves managing logistics (date, time, parking, waivers, etc.), coordinating with attendees (funded doctor, hospital foundation, CKC staff, VIP guests), and ensuring the visit runs smoothly.


Research and Analysis: Conducting research to identify potential funding sources and donor trends. Analyzing the success of past campaigns and events to improve future fundraising efforts.

  • Flexibility is key due to night and weekend fundraising events.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree and prior leadership experience during college are a plus.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to different roles and situations. Works well under pressure and can meet fundraising targets.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in nonprofit or event planning is preferred.
