CANDIDATE PROFILE DETAILS:

Degree/Certifications Required: Safe Agile cert (nice to have), PMP cert (nice to have)

Years of experience: 10 plus years

Reason for request/why opened: Major project with the bank

% Interaction with Stakeholders: high amount of stakeholder interaction.

Project Scope: Top 5 project with the bank- expanding infrastructure.

Team Size: 16 people

Personality Style/Team Culture: Great collaborative team.

Selling Points of Position: high visibility project with the bank, Working with a new acquisitions (Cowen), integrating into the bank.

Best Vs Average Candidate:

Experience with establishing infrastructure, new working experience and floor space

Senior deployment knowledge of infrastructure, data center connections, connectivity to office space

This person will be working trading teams and expanding out trading floor

Senior level of knowledge of effective executive communication

Agile experience

Ability to present to executives

Ability to owning their space and hit the ground running, someone who doesn’t need their hand held.

Had manage dual hats- traditional projects- floor expansion

Need to have Cisco knowledge

How will performance be measured: verbal feedback

SUMMARY OF DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will be responsibility to establish new infrastructure, expanding floor space and new work stations

Establishing requirements, developing plans and executing those plans

Running deployment of infrastructure to data centers – need technical knowledge and experience with CISCO switches/routers

Working in an Agile environment

Communicating with high level executives

Managing two project needs- A traditional project involving infrastructure expansion. Second project is the acquisition

MUST HAVE:

1.) Deploying infrastructure

2.) Level of executive communication

4.) Financial experience – developing business case, complex bank models.

5.) Dealing with multiple stakeholders

6) Jira experience

7) Dealing with stakeholders that wouldn’t be accustomed to a large program delivery- bridging gaps

8) Network deployment experience- Ability to sort requirement, develop plans, execute plans. Expanding floor space, data centre, must be able to run the deployment of infrastructure. Need to know the difference between switch/router

Niche Skill Set - Plan, coordinate and supervise complex informatics assignments. Design and apply new methods and procedures. Coordinate systems development for major applications, define project requirements including information and data needs, business analsyi8s and programming. Develop, plan, analyze, evaluate and assign priorities to deliverables and requirements. Define project phases, set deadlines and manage staff. Develop project plans with milestones. Coordinate all meeting and interface with business units, staff and service providers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight and execution of multiple projects and project managers. Accountable for managing broad and highly complex teams and projects involving significant scope and complexity.

Key accountabilities are:

  • Sets direction at an operational level, works autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborates with other business heads to establish and execute on common goals.
  • Direct or manages large-scale applications, programs or projects across multiple product lines, involving significant scope and complexity. Ensures delivery of projects to the business partner, meeting the approved scope/cost/schedule/quality for the project.
  • Perform a governing role for, ensuring that the proposal, execution, control, deployment, training and hand off, warranty support, and closure meet promised schedules.
  • Performs risk identification and mitigation activities, escalating unresolved issues to the Executive and / or Steering Committee where appropriate to secure their timely decisions/support.
  • Manages the acquisition and deployment of resources, including budget, by working with the Project Managers to secure the resources required for the project.
  • Ensures client satisfaction with the project process and project team by effective and timely communication including status reporting, continual risk/issue assessment/management and escalation, and resolution of issues as they arise.
  • The successful candidate will be required to work with and influence senior level leaders and partner with other IT Managers.
  • Manage a team that consists of 50
  • 100 people. SKILLS: Proven leadership skills and experience managing large and complex IT projects. Full life cycle development experience. Experience with proven project methodology tools. PMI or ITIL certification. Expertise in MS Project, Excel, Visio and Powerpoint.
