About the Position:

The Front Desk Assistant plays a key role at Plymouth Yoga Room, wearing many hats to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for our community members. As the first point of contact, you’ll be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere while managing various tasks. You’ll need strong communication and problem-solving skills, the ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace, and the talent to resolve customer concerns efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet members and guests promptly, with enthusiasm and a smile, to help create a welcoming environment.
  • Sell and maintain memberships while efficiently checking in students to reduce desk traffic.
  • Follow up on customer inquiries and respond immediately to questions or concerns.
  • Maintain an organized and clean lobby and front desk area, while thoroughly cleaning other areas of the studio, including practice spaces and sauna rooms.
  • Maintain accurate records using PYR’s established sales systems.
  • Guide students through proper onboarding to ensure they feel confident and supported in their yoga journey.
  • Support the team by taking on additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A friendly and fun personality with a genuine passion for health and wellness.
  • Excellent customer service skills, both in person and over the phone. Prior sales experience is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Availability on weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency with computers and sales systems.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
