Facility Strategies Group, PLLC (FSG) is a small business headquartered in Fort Mill, SC, with offices just 15 minutes south of center city Charlotte, NC and in New York City, NY. We specialize in energy engineering for efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainability projects supporting state and local governments, federal agencies, local school districts, higher education, commercial building owners, and multifamily housing owners in incorporating energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainability into their facility decisions. Specializing in energy engineering for efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainability projects using energy audits, assessments, design, and commissioning, FSG provides the expertise needed for energy retrofit projects and strategic energy planning.


Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid office/on-site role for a Mechanical/Energy Engineer at Facility Strategies Group, PLLC. The engineer will collaborate with the team to ensure the success of energy projects at various stages, from planning to engineering and finance. The engineer will be responsible for conducting inspections, analysis, energy modeling, commissioning, and savings verification. Additionally, they will contribute to energy and sustainability audits, assessments, and strategic energy planning processes.


Qualifications

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related degree
  • Project Management skills
  • Experience in energy retrofit project development and energy management a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus
  • Experience in the energy and sustainability industry is beneficial

Occasional travel is required, New York City and client sites depending upon client needs and work involvement.
