Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and dynamic Communications Coordinator to join our team and help drive our communications initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong skill set in social media, content creation, copywriting, and some graphic design experience.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Write compelling, high-quality content to support DDSD’s communications and marketing efforts including website and social media copy, blog posts, email campaigns, newsletters, brochures, fact sheets, and reports.
  • Manage and monitor social media accounts (all platforms), including content scheduling, community engagement, and performance tracking.
  • Develop/maintain the company website, ensuring content is up to date, engaging, and optimized for search engines (SEO).
  • Analyze website traffic and user behavior using Google Analytics to optimize marketing efforts and improve SEO performance.
  • Design or oversee the design of graphics for digital and print marketing materials, ensuring brand compliance. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing, or related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in a communications or marketing role
  • Exceptional writing skills and a high level of creativity
  • Experience producing content for social media and websites along with proficiency with social media platforms, tools, and analytics
  • Superior time management and organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills; resourceful with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Familiar with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of email marketing software such as My Emma or a similar program
  • Understanding of the technical aspects of website design and management, such as HTML, SEO, Google Analytics and 508 Compliance
