Under the general direction of a Registered Nurse, the NAC performs basic nursing procedures in providing direct and indirect assistance to patients of all ages and facilitates communication of patient needs to registered nursing personnel. Providence has been serving the Inland Northwest since 1886 when Mother Joseph and the Sisters of Providence founded Sacred Heart Medical Center. Today, Providence is the largest health care provider in Washington located in communities large and small across the state.
