Position Summary: Senior Brand Manager, Innovation


As the Senior Brand Manager, Innovation, you’ll play an integral part in driving Fancy Sprinkles’ growth. You’ll set the strategic product road map and go-to-market plan for our expanding portfolio. You will manage our multi-category portfolio across multiple retailer channels, including e-commerce, Mass, Food and Club. You’ll set a research plan to learn directly from our consumers and provide insights to Sales, Marketing, and Operations in order to move the business forward. You’ll have a hand in forecasting, budgeting, strategic decisions, and cross functional leadership while working closely with the Sr. VP of Brand, the integrated marketing team, and outside agency partners. This role will be a balance between analytics, strategy, and creativity, being a cross functional leader.


Responsibilities:

  • Own the entire product roadmap process and lead within the cross functional team to commercialize and execute your go-to-marketing strategy.
  • Oversee the Renovation and Innovation product launches across multiple categories of business.
  • Reporting results, providing detailed reports that showcase the results in a digestible way.
  • Identify insights that can keep moving the business forward to reach the goals.
  • Keep up with industry best practices and news – implementing new “test & learn” opportunities to keep Fancy Sprinkles in the lead digitally and at shelf.
  • Work in a matrix organization to deliver results. Partner and coach cross-functional team members, contractors, and agency partners.
  • Oversee the product launch calendars and meet all deadlines.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in product/brand management, ideally with a Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) company.
  • 1-2 years of experience with people management is preferred.
  • 3-5 years Experience in project planning, management, and delivery, including all elements of scope, time, costs, risk assessment, integration, and communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional projects with significant financial impact and monitor people from multiple levels.
  • Must ask the hard questions, look for additional solutions to everyday problems, is empathic, can brainstorm while providing direction, and can spot trends quickly.
  • Data-savviness and ability to talk to data-driven insights. Can manage research and insight partners.
  • Organized with excellent project management skills - self-starter who sees opportunities for change and wants to implement them quickly.
  • Strong leadership & communication skills, both written and verbal, plus the ability to perceive and present information both analytically and creatively, to all levels of the organization, including leadership.
  • Experience with end-to-end product development and commercialization processes.
  • Excel and PowerPoint guru. (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • Experience with Syndicated Data (IRI preferred).
  • Familiarity with traditional trade channels: food, mass, club, and convenience.
  • A willingness to navigate change and ambiguity.
  • A passion for the consumer.
