Position Overview: As a Risk Analyst specializing in Corporate Insurance, you will play a crucial role in identifying, analyzing, and managing risks across the organization. You will work closely with the Risk Management team and other departments to ensure the company is adequately protected against potential losses. Your primary focus will be on evaluating insurance needs, managing insurance policies, and implementing strategies to mitigate risk exposure. This role requires a strong understanding of corporate insurance, risk assessment, and claims management.


Key Responsibilities:

Risk Assessment and Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the organization.
  • Analyze the impact of identified risks on the company's operations, finances, and reputation.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the organization's risk register.

Insurance Program Management:

  • Manage the company’s corporate insurance portfolio, including property, liability, workers' compensation, and other relevant insurance policies.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate levels of coverage to ensure adequate protection against identified risks.
  • Coordinate the renewal process for all insurance policies, including negotiating terms and premiums with insurance providers.
  • Work with brokers, underwriters, and other insurance professionals to obtain optimal coverage at competitive rates.

Claims Management:

  • Oversee the claims management process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of claims to insurance carriers.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary documentation and information for claims processing.
  • Monitor the progress of claims and work towards favorable settlements in the company’s best interest.
  • Analyze trends in claims data to identify patterns and recommend loss prevention strategies.

Risk Mitigation Strategies:

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to reduce the likelihood and impact of potential losses.
  • Work with various departments to promote a culture of risk awareness and ensure compliance with risk management policies.
  • Provide guidance on risk-related matters to other departments, including legal, finance, and operations.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed reports on risk assessments, insurance coverage, claims activity, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records of all insurance policies, claims, and related correspondence.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay updated on relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices in risk management and corporate insurance.
  • Ensure the company’s insurance practices comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in risk analysis, insurance management, or a related field, preferably within a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of 1st and 2nd party liability, Renewal Request, Monthly Claims Reports
  • Proficiency in risk management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional designations such as ARM (Associate in Risk Management), CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), or similar are a plus.
