About the Role: We are seeking a highly technical Structural Engineer to join our Client's rapidly growing team in New Jersey. This is an onsite position where you’ll play a pivotal role in designing steel cold box structures, pipe racks, and other critical components for process plants. Your work will directly influence the success of our projects, from conception to completion.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Drafting: Create detailed designs and drawings (plans, sections, elevations) for steel structures, ensuring they meet all specifications for fabrication.
  • Stress Analysis: Perform thorough stress analysis to validate your designs and ensure structural integrity.
  • Technical Oversight: Develop shipping and lifting requirements for heavy equipment (5 to 500 metric tons) and review vendor drawings/specifications.
  • Standards & Compliance: Adhere to AISC standards and ensure all projects meet schedule and budget requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with your team, bringing leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to the table.
  • Problem Solving: Resolve technical issues swiftly and provide quality recommendations to keep projects on track.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training and development to stay at the forefront of industry practices.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in CADWorx 3D, AutoCAD or BricsCAD, with experience in structural design software like Robot, Tekla, Hilti, and RAM Connection.
  • Industry Experience: Background in cryogenic piping, cold boxes, and the industrial gases industry is a plus.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of pipe stress and support systems.
  • PE License: A Professional Engineer (PE) license is a significant advantage.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and team collaboration skills.
