Responsibilities

  • Design steel cold box structures, pipe racks, and other structural elements for process plants.
  • Create detailed plan, section, and elevation drawings for vendor bid packages and fabrication.
  • Perform stress analysis to validate structural designs.
  • Develop shipping and lifting requirements for equipment ranging from 5 to 500 metric tons.
  • Provide technical recommendations and review vendor drawings and specifications.
  • Adhere to established AISC standards.
  • Participate in departmental training programs, seminars, and online courses.
  • Ensure projects meet schedule and budgetary requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team, demonstrating leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Resolve technical project issues and provide quality recommendations.
  • Be a self-starter with strong planning and organizational abilities.
  • Report directly to the Mechanical Design Department Manager.
  • Note: This is an onsite position.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized technical institute.
  • Proficiency in CADWorx 3D and AutoCAD or BricsCAD design software.
  • Experience with cryogenic piping, cold boxes, and the Industrial Gases Industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Robot, Tekla, and other industry-standard structural design software.
  • Experience with Hilti design software and RAM Connection software.
  • Understanding of pipe stress analysis and pipe supports.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment across multiple disciplines.
  • PE license is a plus.
