What your day will look like:

  • Understanding and analyzing electrical diagrams, symbols, and wiring layouts to grasp how electrical systems are designed and connected.
  • Identifying and fixing faults or issues in electrical systems, which involves diagnostic skills and technical knowledge.
  • Engaging with clients or team members to clarify and refine project specifications and requirements, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
  • Helping with the wiring and debugging of initial product versions to ensure they meet design specifications and function correctly.
  • Designing and updating detailed electrical schematics and diagrams using CAD software tools like Zuken or SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Compiling a list of all electrical components and materials needed for vehicle assembly, detailing quantities and specifications.
  • Analyzing and finding ways to reduce costs associated with electrical components or processes without compromising quality.
  • Developing detailed guides and instructions for assembling and configuring electrical systems or products.
  • Educating production staff on the procedures and standards for electrical assembly to ensure consistent and accurate work.
  • Documenting and reviewing modifications to electrical designs or systems, ensuring all changes are properly communicated and implemented.

What we are looking for:

  • Associate’s Degree; Electrical Technology education preferred
  • 2+ years of vehicle design experience or industry experience as an Electrical Technologist
  • Previous working knowledge in manufacturing and engineering
  • Zuken and/or SolidWorks Electrical package experience preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed
