Cost Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use existing cost models to calculate sales prices for machinery, parts or services
  • Review and maintain costing methods.
  • Investigate and correct sales price errors.
  • In collaboration with various teams, help drive/implement savings productivity and drive out inefficiencies both internally and externally.
  • Review manufacturing operation steps to improve efficiencies
  • Performs other tasks as directed.


Qualification and Requirements:

  • Experience Required: 3+ years of cost/pricing experience.
  • Experience in machining & fabrication processes is a plus.
  • Experience with mechanical engineering concepts related to products and ability to generate bottom-up costs based on the understanding of the manufacturing process
  • Proficient knowledge of technical requirements and design of the product and be able to influence cross-functional partners with detailed analysis that supports optimized pricing and product sourcing decisions.
  • Able to understand technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of the Metric system
  • Understanding of materials, including structural steel and sheets
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, MS Teams, etc.).
