Job Title: Civil/Geotechnical Engineer

Anchor QEA of North Carolina, PLLC is seeking a skilled Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Asheville, NC. As a key member of our environmental, civil, and water resources engineering practice, you will be responsible for supporting existing clients and helping expand our services in western North Carolina and the Southeast.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and/or oversee technical analyses for projects related to stormwater management, grading design, and water resources management.
  • Work with other specialists, including subconsultants and internal team members, on geotechnical, remediation, and restoration services.
  • Develop and review design documents and supporting deliverables, including engineering drawings and calculations, technical specifications, and opinions of probable cost.
  • Prepare and review written reports, technical studies, and permit applications.
  • Manage projects, including team assignments and coordination, contractor management, development of scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.
  • Develop construction planning and observation documentation while providing construction oversight and management services.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or a similar field.
  • 6-12 years of experience in a related engineering field.
  • PE licensure in North Carolina is desired, but consideration will be given to individuals on track to become licensed in 1 year.
  • Experience managing projects/tasks and interfacing with clients.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A willingness to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously, across disciplines internally and externally, adhere to deadlines, and work in a client service-oriented team environment.
