Our client, a large retail company, is seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in coordinating and completing a variety of marketing projects and programs, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, content creation, and event planning, coupled with excellent writing and communication skills. This position is hybrid and based out of the New York office.


Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and complete marketing projects/programs from inception to completion.
  • Oversee all aspects of project execution, including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for upper management on the status of projects/programs.
  • Utilize extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish project goals.
  • Lead and direct the work of others, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure all content meets high standards of quality and aligns with the company's brand guidelines.
  • Manage vendor contracts, including negotiation and execution.
  • Utilize content management systems and web publishing tools effectively.


Required Qualifications:


  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with a strong emphasis on writing, editing, and proofreading.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proven experience with content management systems or web publishing.
  • Demonstrated success in program/project management, content marketing, or field enablement.
  • Strong background in writing and editing for various marketing channels.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning, demand generation, content creation, and budget management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft productivity tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in negotiating and managing vendor contracts.
