Description:

  • As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating clear and concise documentation related to our processes and procedures – primarily Preventative Maintenance SOPs.
  • Your role will involve collaborating with subject matter experts, skilled maintenance workers and supervisors, engineers, and other stakeholders to document our Preventative Maintenance processes and enter them into our MMS system.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain accurate and detailed user-friendly documentation, primarily Preventative Maintenance standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with skilled maintenance workers supervisors and other appropriate stakeholders to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into accessible content.
  • Conduct observation of processes on-site to gather information and validate accuracy.
  • Review and edit existing documentation for clarity, consistency, and adherence to company standards.
  • Ensure that technical content complies with industry best practices and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with SAP (preferred).
  • Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge in an industrial environment. Preference would be for someone who has been in a skilled maintenance or related role previously.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and identify components is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
