Job Summary

The Associate Advisor II/III provides crucial support to wealth advisors, acting as a bridge between advisors and support staff to ensure the utmost in client service excellence. This role demands a deep understanding of the financial industry and a strong commitment to contributing to a team dedicated to delivering comprehensive client solutions. Key responsibilities encompass data gathering, financial modeling, case design, scenario analysis, plan development, presentation preparation, and meeting with Foundations/Legacy client base. The ideal candidate will demonstrate dedication, goal orientation, and thrive in both independent and collaborative settings, motivated by the opportunity to advance into a wealth advisor role.


Duties and Responsibilities


The Associate Advisor II/III can expect to focus in the following areas:

  • Gather, organize, and synthesize client data within a financial planning context.
  • Prepare and update Client Planning Summaries (CPS) and Cash Snapshots.
  • Draft and update financial plans, prepare planner meetings, and determine planning recommendations with limited oversight from Lead Advisors.
  • Model and resolve client scenarios and questions with limited help from Lead Advisors.
  • Prepare financial scenarios and presentations for client meetings.
  • Lead all assigned Foundations/Legacy client meetings and actively participate in wealth advisor meetings by taking notes and contributing relevant talking points.
  • Ensure accounts in CRM are accurate, up-to-date, and reflect the correct account type.
  • Assist clients with eMoney navigation and other online resources independently.
  • Build deeper relationships with clients through work-related touchpoints, meeting presence, and understanding their unique financial situations.
  • Maintain accurate money links, beneficiaries, POAs, and RMDs in CRM.
  • Maintain prompt communication with clients and advisors, aiming to respond within 24-48 hours.
  • Take initiative to improve the Associate Advisor role and enhance efficiency in client service, while actively pursuing opportunities to market and build a client base.



Desired Skills and Experience

The Associate Advisor II/III position typically requires the following qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in an Associate Advisor or Advisor role
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required
  • Series 63/65 or 66 required
  • Preferred possession of a CHFC® or CFP® certification for the Associate Advisor II position; however, CFP® certification is required for the Associate Advisor III position. Candidates without CFP® certification must commit to obtaining it within one year of employment.
  • Proven track record of preparing meetings for lead advisors
  • Possess proficient knowledge of accounts, types, and tax treatments, along with a basic understanding and ability to explain financial markets and current economic environments and events.
  • Proficient knowledge of financial topics (insurance, tax, risk, investments, cash flow, Monte Carlos, estate planning, employer benefits, planning strategies)
  • Experience with client service required
  • Ability to use and read risk assessment and results
  • Familiarity with Schwab and Fidelity platforms
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM software, and eMoney
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, organized, able to set priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, takes initiative
  • Team player, collaborative, able to work with and through others
  • Desire/ability to work successfully in a small company environment


Salary and Benefits

Pay/benefits are competitive based on industry standards.

  • Base Salary $55k-$90k per year plus bonuses, depending on experience
