POSITION TITLE: Engineering Compliance Specialist

DURATION: 12 weeks from the start date (potential for extension)

Pay Rate: $88.70/hr on W2 All Inclusive


PURPOSE OF JOB ROLE:

This role will support the engineering statutory and compliance activities for the Binney Street site. This role will perform and execute gap assessments for site against Client global engineering and EHS standards and be responsible for the development of remediation plans based on subject matter expert (SME) feedback for gaps identified. This role will also perform and execute EHS risk assessments for processes and equipment and define mitigation / corrective actions to address risk deemed unacceptable by the site.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work independently to gain an understanding of global Client and site policies and standards

- Execute gap assessments for the site against Client Global Engineering and EHS standards

- Execute EHS risk assessments for site processes, equipment, and areas owned by Facilities & Engineering (F&E)

- Interface with F&E SMEs to develop remediation plans for gaps and risks identified by assessments

- Complete assigned tasks on-schedule, right first time


Minimum Level of Education Required: BS in Engineering

Area of Specialization: Mechanical and Chemical preferred / BS in an Engineering discipline required (The role is responsible for execution of assessments for complex systems, equipment, and processes, and will require a thorough understanding of engineering principles to ensure compliance).


Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience, Knowledge, & Technical Skills Required:

- Five (5) years in Engineering and Plant Operations. Familiarity with biopharm mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, computer, and process equipment. Familiarity with facilitation and execution of gap and risk assessments.


- Experience with generating and facilitating failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), hazard analysis and critical control points, and / or hazard & operability analysis risk assessments.


- Demonstrated history as a champion of change with the ability to work through obstacles and deliver value per schedule and right first time.


- Knowledgeable of Engineering and Safety programs with experience in developing, implementing, or sustaining Engineering and EHS programs.


- Ability to understand regulatory / corporate requirements and interpret those requirements into local guidance / instruction to ensure compliance.


- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally to deliver on-schedule.


- Collaborative personality with the ability to effectively drive change when working with a cross-functional team.
