As a Sales Engineer at our fast-growing Financial Technology startup, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our success by combining technical expertise with a deep understanding of customer needs. You'll work closely with our sales and account management teams to deliver compelling presentations, develop innovative solutions, and ultimately, close deals that drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.\


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Technical Sales Support: Provide comprehensive technical support to the sales and account management teams throughout the entire sales cycle, including pre-sales activities such as product demonstrations, technical consultations, and solution architecture design.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate closely with customers to understand their business objectives, technical requirements, and pain points, translating these insights into customized solutions that effectively address their needs.
  • Solution Design: Utilize your deep understanding of our products and technologies to design innovative solutions that align with customer requirements, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance within their existing infrastructure.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution architectures, integration guides, and API documentation, to support sales efforts and facilitate smooth implementation and deployment processes for customers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, and customer success, to communicate customer requirements, provide feedback on product enhancements, and ensure alignment between customer needs and product roadmap.
  • Training and Enablement: Conduct training sessions and workshops for internal sales and account management teams, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively position our products and solutions in the market and address technical questions from customers.

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and other data interchange formats, with the ability to integrate our solutions seamlessly with existing systems.
  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in the payments industry, with a strong understanding of payment processing technologies, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
  • CRM Proficiency: Proficiency in utilizing CRM platforms such as HubSpot to manage customer relationships, track sales activities, and drive efficient sales processes.
  • Sales Engineering Experience: Previous roles as a Sales Engineer or similar position, demonstrating a track record of success in driving revenue growth through technical sales support.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex business systems and propose innovative solutions.
