Insero Talent Solutions is recruiting a Cybersecurity Manager for a manufacturing company in Rochester, NY.


General Responsibilities

Safeguards information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.


Specific Duties

Protects system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.

Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities; reporting violations.

Takes a proactive approach to implementing security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.

Serves as backup for the Systems Administrator

Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.

Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls.

Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports; communicating system status.

Maintains quality service by following organization standards.

Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Communicates effectively with customers, technical experts and all levels of management.


Qualifications (specify required or desired):


  • Bachelor’s Degree required with related certification desired.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of Systems Administration experience required
  • Experience in System Administration, Network Security, Problem Solving, Information Security Policies, Process Improvement, Firewall Administration,
  • Additional familiarity with Network Protocols, Routers, Hubs, and Switches as it relates to network security
  • Good understanding of Cybersecurity, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, DFARS, ITAR, GDPR, CUI, IP,


Must be highly analytical and effectively able to troubleshoot and prioritize needs, requirements and other issues.

Prospective candidate should have excellent communications, teamwork, leadership and conflict management skills.

Due to the constant developing nature of information systems and cyber-attacks, candidates must be committed to continuous learning and system/security development.
