Summary
The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring tracking, training, and compliance with all Safety and Food Safety regulations, and plant safety and security procedures are in place across multiple facilities.
Key Activities
- Managing the staff and facility to the standard of having no priority higher than safety.
- Lead in demonstrating clear standards of performance in Safety, Quality, Output, Costs, Service, Sanitation, and Personal Conduct
- Focus on the maintenance of, and driving the Facility towards continuous improvement of, the Safe-Quality-Food systems
- Ensure integrity of continued operation of the safety and food safety systems in the event of organizational or personnel changes on site
- Verification and Validation of all Food Safety and Food Quality Programs
- Leads multiple Facilities development of operations, capital improvements, and continuous improvement
- Analyzes productivity, establishes budgets, and estimates costs for multiple Facilities
- Budget, Hire, and Train employees for specific jobs required for the Facility operation and support roles for Facilities like Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, etc.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills are required
- Ensure all regulatory standards are met (safety, environmental, food safety, and quality)
Preferred Skills
- Experience in supervising or managing industrial/manufacturing operations, maintenance, and/or quality/laboratory operations.
- Knowledge of OSHA, National Electrical Code, and NFPA standards to assure compliance by the employees and others working at the Facility.
Educations & Experience
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in a related management field
- Must be certified as an SQF Practitioner
- Must be certified in HACCP
- Must be PCQI Certified
