Our client, a professional sports (& entertainment) league is seeking a Sr. Project Manager for their Video team as part of their Digital Product Services group. This role will be focused on Video Player and Video Ad Technology services that help power the League's Digital Platforms. The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for a wide array of strategic, organizational, process-oriented, execution, and support activities. This role necessitates a solid understanding of the software development life cycle and the capability to ensure the efficient and timely completion of technical tasks with high quality. This is a freelance role will go through 3/31/25 with opportunity for full year contract renewal upon evaluation in Feb 2025. The role requires to be onsite in the Inglewood, CA office 4 days a week.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the release process across platforms, removing obstacles to ensure efficient production deployments.
  • Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for multiple teams.
  • Coordinate and manage external meetings with partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project status and risks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Utilize strong facilitation and workshop skills to help cross-functional teams define and achieve their objectives.
  • Act as a liaison to the PMO, supporting and informing the PMO Drive Planning process.
  • Assist in capturing and tracking project deliverables and requirements in clear, understandable language for the appropriate audience.
  • Manage third-party partners, including resource allocation, budgets, timelines, and adherence to SLAs.
  • Assist in capturing, tracking, and documenting the project/product vision and scope by working with the project sponsor and/or product business owner.
  • Monitor support Slack channels, create, and track open support tickets. Manage Jira development boards.
  • Gather requirements and define schedules and deliverables for new initiatives.
  • Generate status reports to communicate progress to the broader organization.


Required Qualifications:


  • Experience working on a large-scale cross-platform service (e.g., Video, Identity, APIs).
  • Video players and video operations with both internal and external teams.
  • Ad Tech and Ad Operations integration with digital live games.
  • Feature development for video players within product platforms such as mobile apps, desktops, and CTV.
  • Reporting tools for both video operations and ad operations.
  • Streaming Quality of Experience tools (e.g., Conviva, Mux).
  • Video consumption analytics (e.g., Adobe Analytics).
  • Google Ad Manager.
  • Capability to build and manage relationships with both internal teams and external vendors.
  • Skilled at setting and managing customer expectations, ensuring successful delivery.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to understand stakeholder and business requirements, translating them into on-time, on-budget delivery.
