About the Position:

Epic International Staffing is looking for an Assistant Clinical Educator who will be responsible for internationally educated nursing staff development as an educator, facilitator, and team member. This is accomplished by the facilitation of the learning process through assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of competency assessment, continuing education, and professional staff nurse development.

What You‘ll Do:

  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide educational programs in individual and small group settings.

  • Teach clinical orientation topics, and/or coordinate speakers and documentation of nursing clinical competencies to support nurses‘ preparedness for practice in the U.S.

  • Assist with the development of curriculum, teaching/learning methods, and assembly of materials/equipment.

  • Conduct individual skills assessment and analysis of nurses, identifying areas of strength/weakness in relation to assigned unit/facility, and work to strengthen nurses‘ preparation and/or recommend redirection to another unit/facility in which they are more likely to be successful.

  • In cooperation with the department leadership, review and respond to post-deployment clinical concerns from client facilities.

  • Participate in the creation and implementation of clinical simulation training scenarios.

  • Monitor educational interventions and evaluate their impact on the learner(s) and/or the organization.

What You‘ll Bring:

  • Five years of continuous experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse in an area of specialty including one year of mentoring/teaching experience.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing.

  • A valid RN license to practice nursing in the state of Tennessee or eligibility for licensure in the state of Tennessee.

OR

  • Seven years of continuous experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse in an area of specialty.

  • Associate of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing.

  • Bachelor‘s degree in education.

  • A valid RN license to practice nursing in the State of TN or eligibility for licensure in the state of TN.

  • Possess an overall knowledge of business functions and understanding of services, business strategy, policies and procedures, and job‘s impact to the organization.

  • Make quality decisions and meet timeliness of those decisions.

  • Proactively obtain and share information tailored to the audience.

  • Formally deliver information to groups.

  • Attend to the needs and expectations of customers.

  • Identify performance capabilities and potential of others.

  • Enable constructive and productive group interaction.

  • Support others in stretching and expanding their capabilities.

  • Engage effectively in dialogue.

Salary: $90,000 Annually
