We are looking for a candidate with at least 6 months of medical experience and is familiar with taking vital signs. This position will require you to travel 2 days a week to Hendersonville, Camden, and/or Smithville. You will be supporting 3 different doctors in this role. A company car will be provided for travel.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Clinical Assistant for our practice who provides specialized expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:

• Rounds in patient waiting rooms

• Performs selected administrative duties and assists clinical staff with non-clinical duties

• Scheduling and canceling patient appointments

• Answering the telephone

• Verifying patient insurance and demographics

• Collection of co-payments/coinsurance and personal balances

• Escorts patient to exam rooms

• Takes patient weights

• Prepares exam rooms with needed equipment, supplies, and patient education materials

• Adheres to and practices appropriate infection control policies and procedures

• Assists with autoclaving of instruments where appropriate with documented training

• Assists with removing expired medications

• Assists with room turnover and preparation

• Electronically filing and retrieving medical records
