JOB MISSION

The Performance Application Engineer will be embedded at a customer site supporting the expansion and optimization of a newly installed Genetec deployment. They will be responsible for the programming, maintenance, testing and commissioning of physical security hardware and software including card readers, access control panels, alarm panels, alarm devices, cameras, NVR’s, operating systems, servers, and databases. They will collaborate with customer IT, Infrastructure, Network, InfoSec, and Operations teams to drive success through the program.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Genetec Omnicast, Synergis, and Enterprise.
  • Associate Degree in Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to navigate through system database software to configure and troubleshoot hardware related issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of low voltage circuitry and basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • 5 years plus of experience with the following:
  • Windows Server System Administration.
  • Physical Security Systems Administration.


DUTIES

  • Provide Engineering Project support throughout the Integration Implementation Project Life Cycle.
  • Install, test, configure and troubleshoot access control and digital video management systems.
  • Integrate access control and video management systems with customer’s existing infrastructure.
  • Support break-fix on an as needed basis communicating with technicians and manufacture support if needed.
  • Support new projects and initiatives learning quickly and creating deployment strategies.
  • Work directly with customers and train technicians on installed systems.
  • Attend meetings with customers and project management team to analyze and determine customer system needs and providerecommendations.
  • Create and maintain system documentation for customers.
  • To work in compliance with the company’s health and safety standards and requirements, with the safety of self and others in mind at all time.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Effectively interact with customer stakeholders and manufacturers to ensure and maintain quality customer relationships globally.
