Financial Counselor (Multiple Roles)

Contract (possible Contract to Hire)

Wauwatosa, WI (Onsite)

Schedule:

M – F (8:30am - 5:00pm CST)

M – Sun (7:00am - 5:30pm CST), alternating weeks


One of our Healthcare clients is looking for multiple Financial Counselors, the ideal candidate must have the State of Wisconsin and Federal Certified Application Counselor Designation or must obtain it within 12 months after hire.


Duties may include:

· Assess patient financial needs, collect deposits

· Screen patients and assist with applications for applicable programs

· Counsels with patients to guide them through the application and eligibility process

· Communicates with Social Services, Case Management, Admitting/Registration, appropriate department personal, and the physician as applicable

· Assists patients with the Financial Assistance application process

· Monitors work queues to ensure that all initial patient financial activities have been completed and address account balances that have not been previously secured through insurance verification or other confirmed sources


Musts:

· 1+ yr experience healthcare/revenue cycle/case management or social work

· Excellent Customer Service experience

· Epic experience is a Plus

· State of Wisconsin and Federal Certified Application Counselor Designation is required or must obtain it within 12 months after hire

· Must be flu vaccinated
