We're seeking a highly motivated Junior Estimator to join our dynamic team. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the success of our projects from start to finish. You'll be detail-oriented, multiplet-asker, and collaborative, assisting our senior estimators and learning the ropes of hospitality construction estimating.


What you'll do:


  • Prepare comprehensive and accurate estimates for diverse hospitality projects.
  • Analyze project details, including blueprints, 3D models, and site visits.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Research and negotiate quotes from vendors and subcontractors.
  • Develop and submit professional reports and proposals.
  • Analyze risks and identify potential cost variances.
  • Utilize SketchUp and other construction management software.
  • Maintain clear and organized project timelines and schedules.


You're a perfect fit if you have:


  • 3+ years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Able to read blueprints to an expert-level
  • A strong understanding of construction project lifecycles and cost management.
  • Proficiency in financial and project management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to gather information from diverse sources (drawings, meetings, site visits).
  • Experience researching supplier options, material/labor costs, and lead times.
  • Working knowledge of 3D modeling and construction software (SketchUp).
  • Expertise in data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Negotiation skills to secure favorable quotes from subcontractors and vendors.
  • Understanding of subcontractor/vendor contracts and deliverables.
  • The ability to create and present professional reports and proposals.
  • Strong analytical skills and a focus on accurate project costing.
  • Impeccable organizational skills for multitasking and a knack for scheduling meetings and deadlines.
