Responsibilities:

  • Product Development: Utilize engineering expertise to contribute to the design and development of new products, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve existing products and processes by applying engineering techniques and conducting thorough analyses.
  • Testing and Analysis: Develop test fixtures and methods, perform laboratory testing, and analyze results to provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Engineering Support: Conduct engineering analysis related to material strength, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics to support product and process development.
  • Software Utilization: Employ appropriate software tools to achieve project objectives and enhance product designs.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.
  • Statistical Analysis: Perform statistical analyses to support process improvement initiatives and new product qualifications.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering reports and create presentations to support sales and operational teams.
  • Team Leadership: Direct the workload of lab technicians, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
  • Problem Solving: Act as a resource for all departments, providing technical guidance and solutions to engineering challenges.
  • Vendor Interaction: Manage relationships with vendors and oversee internal capital projects, ensuring successful project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong foundation in engineering principles and techniques.
  • Experience in product design, development, and process improvement.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software tools.
  • Ability to analyze data, conduct statistical analyses, and draw conclusions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Leadership experience in guiding technical teams or lab technicians is a plus.
