Position Specific Summary
Funding from the National Fire Protection Association is provided to gather information to characterize the impact of continual message sounding on the ability of vulnerable populations to effectively evacuate. The Research Assistant, working with Dr. Cleary, will conduct a literature review, develop and implement a questionnaire, and develop a final report in collaboration with the NFPA board. The student will be expected to work up to 20 hours/week over a 6 month period.
Standard Position Description
The student will perform basic administrative and research tasks under the guidance of a faculty member or research coordinator. Tasks may include: assisting with experiments, coding, data entry, and data cleaning, preparing research/documents for articles, reports, and/or presentations. Students may also help provide information for literature reviews, draft summaries, and create graphs and figures. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental/faculty needs.

Required Qualifications
This is an entry level position, little to no experience required, all training will be provided (Students working in an instructional capacity should be very familiar with the subject area in which they are working).
