Our client is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Operations who will provide overall direction and guidance to the operational activities of the Company. Formulates and plans the use of materials, equipment, and human resources in achieving the plan. The Director of Manufacturing Operations is responsible for coordinating efforts within the Organization to maximize the Company’s operating performance and achieve its financial goals. The Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all facilities as it relates to Quality, Productivity, Delivery, and overall performance of the facilities. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical leader who will join the senior management team, is self motivated, and has a deep understanding of CNC Manufacturing.


Responsibilities

  • Be a champion for compliance by supporting policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with the President in preparing Strategic Operational Plans and any executive decisions.
  • Responsible for the training, development, and oversight of Engineering and Quality Personnel Provide strategic thought leadership for the operational function.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership to promote an environment of accountability, collaboration, hard work, and achievement of individual and team goals. Bring a different perspective and ideas on how to manage costs, and drive revenue and profitability.
  • Interface with Customers on Manufacturing and/or Quality concerns
  • Responsible for sound financial management of facilities. Identify ways to increase revenues and decrease costs.
  • Analyze financial reports and work with each facility's staff to identify opportunities and develop improvement plans.
  • Maintain a healthy work environment and ensure sound policies and procedures are in place.
  • Must collaborate with all company departments and segments of management to establish and execute responsibilities.
  • Implement short and long-term programs and processes to optimize workflow.
  • Review and approve the plan(s) of each facility that may impact budget spending, labor efficiency, material efficiency, new areas of technology, and Customer service impacts.
  • Conduct and complete Layer Process Audits as scheduled.
  • Follow general safety rules, procedures, and regulations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a business, operations, or logistics concentration required
  • MBA and/or preferred but not required
  • 10+ years of operations and CNC manufacturing experience
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Lean Six Sigma skills preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills required
  • Ability to effectively utilize ERP systems
  • Ability to develop key relationships and develop strong teams
